Beginning Wheel Throwing

Our six week introductory pottery wheel class begins again on November 8. Students will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including the making of cylinders, bowls, and cups with handles.  We will also have a basic introduction to glazing and work with cone 6 oxidation and cone 10 reduction glazes.  Class fee includes one 25 pound bag of clay and a tool kit for new students.  Your materials fee of $20 helps us cover glazes, kilns, and maintenance of studio tools and equipment. Studio is open for student use throughout the week!


Date:  Wednesdays, November 8, 15, 29, and December 6, 13, 20

Time:  1:00pm- 4:00pm

Place:  Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, Ceramics Studio

Cost:  $220 per student/ $20 materials fee

Instructor:  Charlie Mabry

Level:  Ages 14 and up

Class Limit:  10 students per class



Cancellation Policy: All classes require prior registration unless otherwise stated. Cancellation with at least 24 hours notice will receive 100% credit towards future classes. No credit for cancellation with less than 24 hours notice or no show.
