Become a Porcelain Pro Workshop with Taylor Robenalt
Saturday, October 28 — 9 am – 5 pm
Sunday, October 29 — 9 am – 4 pm
Class limit: 15 students
All skill levels are invited to make a porcelain sculpture with ceramic artist Taylor Robenalt in this workshop. Taylor will focus on components of the human figure and demonstrate the intricacies of constructing flora and fauna. Taylor brings a unique set of technical skills and finishing processes to this workshop. Get rid of those uneven surfaces and learn how to handle other technical problems in your porcelain work. Be ready to start sculpting with porcelain professionally. Taylor will show you how to achieve crisp lines and clean, tight surfaces by using simple tools. You will also explore conceptual ideas and talk about symbology in your work. The instructor will personally meet with each student and help with exploration of skills and new ideas. There will be an informal critique at the end of the workshop. Get excited for a weekend filled with information about clay with a porcelain pro!
Taylor has provided a recommended tool list, which will be given to students prior to October 6, and attendees will be able to try tools and purchase them at the workshop. Fee for this workshop is $225 for both days. All clay, firing, and instruction are included in the workshop. Lunch included.
This workshop is approved for 1.4 CEU hours for a fee of $15.
