Altering and Stacking the Vessel Workshop: Jeff Brown
Saturday, November 11
Class Limit: 11 students
Take your work to new heights in this participation workshop. Students will observe as Jeff demonstrates how he works and processes ideas of forms. The primary focus will be making vessels and celebrating the vessel. As a group, students will then focus on making vessel forms that can be altered and stacked both on and off the wheel. We will explore vessel forms such as, cups, bowls, bottles, and vases. Participants do not need to know how to throw on the wheel but basic hand building techniques would be beneficial. Please bring a lunch, your favorite ceramic working tools, and a fettling knife (available for purchase at Coastal Ceramic Supply in Ocean Springs or Dogwood Ceramics in Gulfport).
This workshop is approved for .8 CEU hours for a fee of $15.
