Andy Warhol met an untimely death in New York City following complications from a routine surgery. Although he was only active as a Pop artist from the 1960s until 1987, he is remembered for immortalizing the concept of Pop culture and will remain one of the leading figures in twentieth century art. Selections from the collection of Wesley and Missy Cochran include examples from the three decades of Warhol’s Pop Art career, including silkscreen prints from the Cowboys and Indians Series, Myth Series and Flash –November 22, 1963 Series, as well as prints of several icons of the 1960s.
